EasyTrans
Hindi and English voice translator for travellers
Say it in Hindi or English, and show your driver, shopkeeper or waiter the translation in big letters, or play it aloud. They can reply into the same phone. Machine translation — may be wrong. For anything important, use the checked phrases below.

Type, speak or tap a checked phrase; it shows here in large text.

Don't type or say passport numbers, phone numbers or other personal details: the translation service keeps what it is sent.
Voice input isn't available in this browser, so type instead. Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone can listen.

No Vietnamese phrases have been checked by a speaker yet, so none are shown. We only show phrases a speaker has checked; until then, use the translator above and treat it as a guide.
How EasyTrans works
- Your phone's browser turns your voice into text (on Chrome the audio goes to Google, on Safari to Apple), and the free MyMemory service translates it. Typing works in every browser.
- The translation is read aloud by your phone's own voices. If your phone has no voice for a language, show the text.
- When they reply, their voice goes to your browser's speech service (Google on Chrome, Apple on Safari) and their words to MyMemory to be translated. Let them know before they speak.
- Machine translation can be wrong, and MyMemory keeps what it is sent, so do not type passport numbers, phone numbers or other personal details. We do not receive or store what you say or type. See our privacy policy.
- Checked phrases come from our phrase book, checked by a speaker of the language, and are not sent anywhere when you tap them.
