Questions Indian travellers ask

Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Bali?

Indian passport holders get Indonesia's visa on arrival for 30 days, extendable once for another 30, or can apply online before flying as an e-VOA. You need a passport valid for at least 6 months and a return or onward ticket. Every traveller must also file the All Indonesia arrival card online, at no charge, within 3 days before arriving, and pay Bali's tourist levy.

What is the best time to visit Bali?

April to October, Bali's dry season, is the easiest time for beaches, the Nusa Penida day out and the boat to the Gili Islands. November to March is the wet season: still warm, with heavier, shorter downpours.

How long is the flight to Bali from Delhi or Mumbai?

About eight hours direct from Delhi. Flights from Mumbai usually make one stop and take about nine hours or more.

Is seven days enough for Bali?

Yes for a first visit. Seven days covers Seminyak's beaches, a day on Nusa Penida, Ubud and a night on the Gili Islands. Add nights in Ubud or on the Gilis if you want more slow days.

Are the Gili Islands part of Bali?

No. Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air lie off Lombok, the island east of Bali, about two hours by fast boat. There are no cars or motorbikes on them; you walk, cycle or take a horse cart.
