Thailand's tourism authority has extended its promotional campaign in Spain beyond Madrid to a full national sales network. The effort runs from late September through October and is meant to lift bookings during the closing months of 2026 and into the start of 2027.

Spanish travellers buying certain Thailand packages can get price reductions of up to 400 euros, as reported on 12 Oct 2026. The campaign focuses on Thai cuisine, cultural activities and leisure cruising. The authority aims for at least 20 million consumer exposures and close to 3,000 package sales over the winter travel period.

The push follows a Madrid event held on 26 and 27 September that drew more than 5,000 visitors. It now reaches a wider audience through more than 400 screens at travel agency shops, website banners, digital advertising and other outlets.

What it means for travellers from India

  • Spain remains a key long-haul market for Thailand, which points to continued investment in inbound tourism and visitor experiences.
  • The campaign's emphasis on longer stays, food and culture shows the kind of travel themes Thailand is promoting to international visitors this winter season.
  • Indian travellers planning Thailand trips over the same months may come across similar experiences and seasonal offers across markets.
